A favorite travel destination among islanders, Rannalhi has the last fresh-water landfall on the journey south from Khaafu Atoll (or South Male) in the Maldives.

Rannalhi is another name for “the measure of gold” because “nalhi” is unit of measure and “ran” means gold, and is widely renowned for its scenic beauty and even fertility.

Some of the most popular activities include:

Island Hopping – take a full-day excursion and visit an uninhabited island where you can have a swim, work on your tan, feast on a picnic or barbeque.

Night Fishing – the most popular excursion has you enjoying the spectacular sunset then dropping a line near the reef where grouper, snapper, squirrelfish, skipjack and barracuda are waiting. All fishing tackle and supplies are of course provided, along with a wonderful boat crew. You can catch and release, or if you choose, feast on your catch the following day at dinner.

Fisherman’s Island – the village tour gives a glimpse into the life and heritage of a small village living on one of Maldives’ magical islands. This is an ideal place to grab souvenirs and unique crafts, as well as a genuine taste of exotic Maldives culture.

Morning Fishing – where you wake up early and see a lively peak of experience as the ocean and coral reefs are at their best, surrounded by palms and sandy beaches.

Malé Shopping & Sightseeing – spend a morning in Malé and experience the hive of activity that is the Maldivian capital. The magnificent marble and gold Grand Mosque, the heart of the Sunni Muslim community, is a must-see.
